Protect Your Money

Follow these rules to protect yourself from fraudsters

1. Do Not Rush to Send Money

If someone contacts you by phone, email, or message and urgently asks you to transfer money, do not rush. Check the information first. Fraudsters may invent various stories: a loved one is in trouble; you have won a lottery and need to pay tax; or someone has taken out a loan in your name and you must repay the debt. Their aim is to make you panic and pressure you into making a quick decision. They may even address you by your first name and patronymic. This information is not difficult to find: we provide it ourselves when registering on websites and social media.

Contact your loved ones or call the relevant organization yourself to verify the information.

2. Do Not Share Your Card Details

If someone calls and asks you to provide your card details or confirm actions you did not perform (a money transfer, taking out a loan, changing the phone number linked to your card, etc.), hang up immediately.

Never share:
- Passport details (or details of any other identity documents)
- Security word
- Username and password for online banking
- Codes received by SMS
- 16-digit card number and expiration date
- PIN
- CVC/CVV/CVP code (the three-digit security code on the back of your card).

Genuine bank employees or security staff never request this information by phone or email. The same applies to staff at locations where you send Zolotaya Korona money transfers.

3. Check Websites

Do not follow links in text messages. Do not enter your card details on suspicious websites. Fake websites can look very similar to official ones, but fraudsters use them to steal card information. If you want to make a purchase, make sure you are using the official online store. If you are sending a transfer, verify that you are on the official Zolotaya Korona service website: https://koronapay.com/.

4. Keep Your Payment Documents

Do not throw away the documents you receive after sending a money transfer, such as receipts and payment confirmations. You may need them if you decide to report fraud to law enforcement.

If You Have Become a Victim of Fraud

Contact law enforcement and your bank’s hotline as soon as possible.
For fraud involving Zolotaya Korona services, call the service contact center at +7 (495) 960-05-55 (available 24/7; calls are charged according to your mobile or telephone provider’s rates). If the transfer has not yet been paid out, it may be possible to cancel it and get your money back.
